It’s Children of Addiction Awareness Week!
1 in 4 children in the U.S. are touched by the adverse effects of their parent’s alcohol or drug abuse.
I’m one of billions of adult children of alcoholics. We all suffered alone with our family’s secret when we were growing up.
Today, there is so much more awareness and resources to help children and adults who are affected by addiction. So, during this special week, I’m celebrating the extraordinary ways the world has changed for the better to help children growing up with addiction in their home and to help people like me heal and create the lives they want.
